removing coolmenu dynamically using javascript

i am facing the problem with coolmenu3 in the mozilla browser when replacing the document with root tag(it's a span tag started just after body tag starts and ends just before body tag close with name 'root')using innerHTML, the menu is removed in the internet explorer but it's not removing from the mozilla. can anyone help me how to remove dynamically means using javascript i want remove the menu. thanks in advance..
