Anyone knows a good multiple authors' guestbook, in PHP or perl? Without using a database, but database will do too, most likely mySQL; thanks.

most of them have multiple authors option (MT for instance, which uses Perl+BerkeleyDB)

I knew this was coming...
Okay guestbook with the same database, but allowing to have multiple admins with multiple sections of the guestbook. Probably in different directories, am I making sense? I am not talking about guest authors, I am talking about the original authors. |

yes...u making sense...
not sure of any guestbook that has that feature (many authors in different directories using same db) but movabletype (MT) has it... there is the main administrator account...he can assign different directories for differetn weblogs/guestbooks..each with its own fullpowered administrator/author.... also each directory can have its own design/look/layout/css/etc...like a separate site...just running the same backend... main admin has control over the entire cms including all its subadmins... for sample : http://dzygn.com/weblog and http://ph.dzygn.com/weblog/ running same backend but jooli has control over her own weblog. the sites are not active anymore since i deleted the backend but u can see if this is what u looking for.. the new MT version uses mysql db instead of the berkeley type... .: a n <font color="red">d</font id="red">[/url:mqe199vmm5] <font color="orange">e</font id="orange">[/url:mqe199vmm5] r <font color="brown">s</font id="brown">[/url:mqe199vmm5] :: <font color="black">dzygn vault</font id="black">[/url:mqe199vmm5] :. |

Where is the guestbook? It's just blog to me. I am using MT myself.. 8) But, couple of my users requested a guestbook and was wondering, how I can keep them in the same database but create different directories with different users, MT like. ![]() |

You could create a new entry and use the comments function for the guestbook.

view it this way...MT is like a "feature-packed" guestbook....
or as mark said...just use the comment functions for the gbook... .: a n <font color="red">d</font id="red"> <font color="orange">e</font id="orange"> r <font color="brown">s</font id="brown"> :: <font color="black">dzygn vault</font id="black"> :. |

I guess you are right, therefore, I will try to see what I can do by altering the codes.
For now, the problem is resolved. ![]() |
