well, I basicly need a software or a script that converts images from a digicam to something that one can put on a webpage.
Its like convert to .jpg (if its not) and resize it..
it must be for free and run on simple windows.

ps. I've always used photoshop for this and never thought of something else, but my ex-employer dont want to spend money on this.

If you have WindowsXP check out their power tools. Pretty neat image resizer in that. Alternativly there are tonnes of free graphic packages of varying degree of complexity that will do smple resizing. Try google.

Try this one:

Irfanview
http://www.tk79.com/loadbalance/download.php?id=2
You can do batch-conversions with it.

[edit]I included the link to a german version.
Rather use this one http://download.com.com/3000-2192-10021962.html

No need to use non-Microsoft software for this. You can either use Microsoft Paint if you would like a GUI application, or you can do it programatically through the GDI+ APIs (.NET Framework).

There is always a need to use non-microsoft software.
