Well, the first issue will be Summer '05 but we will filter through the content out in a number volumes when we get it. But since the project's on going there is no real deadline.
If you want something in the first volume i'd suggest sending the abstract into us in the next few weeks, then we can advise on whether it fits. »» Dan »» http://pupius.co.uk || http://13thparallel.org |

Dan,
I assume the articles will be primarily DHTML-related? Also, do you have any further description of the first theme, "Lost and Found", or are you looking for how people choose to identify with that theme? Stephen W. Cote wranlon@hotmail.com http://www.whitefrost.com/ |

Stephen, we're not limiting discussion to DHTML by any means. Topics can be as diverse as online art, graphic design, multimedia authoring, commerce, standards, accessibility, and server-side technology - the general trend is web tech, and pushing the boundaries.
As regards Lost and Found, that was something Michael and Sergi suggested, and it is open to your own interpretation. Other volumes will have other themes, so if it doesn't fit there I'm sure it could go in another volume - or even inspire the theme for a volume. »» Dan »» http://pupius.co.uk || http://13thparallel.org |

With regards to the theme... I think Lost & Found reflects our way of restarting 13th: we lost track of updating it, then figured out that we developed a bunch of cool stuff in the meantime. So we're going to publish this "found material" in the first series of articles / volumes, together forming one issue: Lost & Found.
Because it is "found material" the content of the volumes isn't strongly related. The place to express the theme would be in the visual and structural design of the issue... that's what I was thinking of when I made the suggestion. Tom Trenka has taken the lead for the visual design, so we'll see how he expresses the theme ![]() For anybody wishing to contribute a volume to this issue, it means there is virtually no restriction on the subject, as long as it is interesting to our audience. And if you have a particularly strong idea about a theme, you're free to make suggestions for the Fall / Winter 2005 or later issues... for now I'm happy to see 13th active again and we'll see where it goes from there! // [url="http://speedingrhino.com/"]SpeedingRhino[/url:78292a3jv4] |

Sounds real interesting! Any chance for podcasts? (like ITConversations...)

IT Conversations look cool, but I could only find text and audio podcasting. How would (for example) an experiment about interaction design be podcasted, including interactive examples?

What I like about IT Conversations is that I can listen to discussions instead of reading them. Feels more natural. And it helps me fall asleep (seriously!). So what I can imagine is for example publishing some presentations from SxSW Things like interaction design with interactive examples can't be done, of course.
