I really enjoyed my search experience at Accoona.com. It was a bit different, and I had to digress majorly from what I am used to. But overall, looks promising as a newcomer. What’s your take on this?

First of all this is a troll thread but (emphasis mine):

quote:
“This revolutionary Interactive Search Technology, combined with proprietary Artificial Intelligence Software that understands the meaning of words, delivers SuperTargetedTM Search results that significantly differentiate Accoona in the Search Industry”

Yeah Bullshit...

"Artificial Intelligence" is such a bullshit buzzword I can't believe they get away with meta searching Google and making out like they are innovating.

"revolutionary" Ohh come on jeesuz. Like Google aren't about 3 million times cleverer than you and didn't already think of it

hey it does look like google from the surface, but if u spend time on it like i did, you will also realize that it has some brilliant features which u and i wouldnt have thot of.

We can super target our keywords and get relevantresults. We can get profiles of companies cy clicking on an infinity icon next to search results.

Being a net enthusiast, i spend all my time searching the net. And if something new comes up, i gotto analyse it. Who knows, my life might just turn around completely one day?

Hah!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Do you have stock in Acoona Corp. or something?

I'm all for innovation in the search arena but without wanting to sound too condescending, the Accona effort is pathetic. It’s just any excuse to get people to use their system as a front door to Google’s results.

What's worse is that they are buzzword bullshitters. They try to mislead people into thinking they are innovating when they are NOT.

They also have sponsored links inline with the results and that is deplorable.

I tested it to see how the search would do. I tyoed in my name, expecting to see my site come first (it does in most other search engins). My site was no where to be seen. Oh well I gave it a shot... to bad.. back to google
